FAQ - EVA ULTRASONIC HUMIDIFIER

WHY DOES MY EVA SHOW THE RED LIGHT FOR NO WATER ALTHOUGH THERE IS WATER IN THE TANK?

Please rinse the water base of Eva with warm water and make sure the heating plate and the ultrasonic membrane are free of any limescale residues. Descale the water base if necessary. Be careful not to spill any water into the air opening of the water base. Fill the water tank and start Eva again. If she still displays the red light, please remove the anticalc cartridge (positioned on the inside of the water tank, attached to the water tank cap) and let Eva run for 30 minutes without the cartridge.

CAN I OPERATE MY EVA WITH DISTILLED, PURIFIED OR REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER?

To minimize the risk of white dust, you can operate Eva using a mix of distilled and tap water. The mixing ratio should be 50:50. Attention: Please do not operate the unit using pure distilled water as the water level indicator will not work correctly.

WHY DOES MY EVA PRODUCE LITTLE OR NO MIST?

If the humidifier Eva produces less mist after several weeks in operation, the water base needs to be decalcified. Please refer to our cleaning instructions in the product manual.

WHY DO TWO DOTS APPEAR ON THE DISPLAY OF MY EVA?

The two dots show that the Remote Sensor™ has lost the connection to Eva. The Remote Sensor™ is the external sensor that measures the humidity in the room and that can also be used as a remote control. Without a connection to the Remote Sensor™, Eva can no longer measure the humidity precisely. To restore the radio connection, press any button on the Remote Sensor™ (apart from On/Off).  If the two dots are still visible on Eva’s display, check that the distance between the Remote Sensor™ and Eva is approx. 3 to 5 m. Walls and floors between Eva and the Remote Sensor™ can disrupt the radio connection. Another reason for the lack of connection is when the batteries in the Remote Sensor™ need replacing. Replace the two AAA batteries with new ones and then activate the Remote Sensor™ by pressing any button on the Remote Sensor™ (apart from On/Off). The current humidity value should now be shown on Eva’s display.

CAN I ALSO USE MY EVA WITH OUT THE REMOTE SENSOR?

Yes, Eva can also be used without the Remote Sensor. However, please bear in mind that the measured humidity value will be affected slightly as the humidity sensor in the device is located near the mist outlet. Thus, the measured value is not as precise as with the Remote Sensor. Eva will also indicate that the contact to the sensor cannot be established, and two dots will appear on the display. However, the device can be operated normally.

WHY ISN'T THE FRAGRANCE FROM MY EVA STRONGER?

The intensity of the fragrance is influenced by various factors:

Type of fragrance (synthetic, natural, ingredients, etc.)

    • Room temperature and relative humidity (the more humid the air, the stronger the fragrance will be)
    • Room size (the smaller the room, the more intensive the fragrance)

It should also be remembered that first and foremost, the device is a humidifier. Its main focus is to provide humidity in the room and because of that, the intensity of its fragrance will never be as strong as the fragrance from an aroma diffuser.

WHY IS THE HUMIDITY VALUE ON THE DISPLAY FLASHING?

A flashing humidity value means that the desired humidity has been reached and the device has switched off automatically.

The desired humidity can be changed by pressing the “Hygrostat” button several times (35 – 75 % and continuous operation “CO”). The symbol on the display blinks during input. After a few seconds without input, the selected value is saved. The symbol changes to the current measured humidity.
