Ultrasonic Humidifiers

A vibrating plate sends ultrasonic sound waves through the water. This produces small droplets of water which are carried into the room using the humidifier's fan. The water droplets create a harmless visible mist which evaporates into the air. Ultrasonic humidifiers are also energy efficient. "White dust" can occur on surface areas in the room with any ultrasonic humidifier due to minerals in the tap water. The problem can be reduced and sometimes eliminated by using a demineralization cartridge.

Evaporative Humidifiers

This technology adopts the natural principal of evaporation. Evaporation wicks soak up the water while a fan is used to draw dry indoor air though the wicks and push moisture into the room. This system will not cause the air to become oversaturated with moisture. Unlike most noisy evaporative humidifiers, Stadler FormEvaporative Humidifiers are exceptionally quiet.
